Holidaying: The Photo Recap

It's some time late evening and I’m just dealing with yet another frenzied week. Sadly, I've had about as much sleep as Paris Hilton has brain cells so forgive me if I haven’t a lot of time to write about my vacation that took place two weekends back. I figured I'd leave you with pictures of the Early Vacation of '10.

What went down during that weekend, you ask? Well, we/I...

* Went to the Tibetan settlement in near Coorg;

* Stayed the monastery;

* Spent hours at the Sera Jey Temple and The Namdroling Temple (also know as the

Golden Temple);

* Strolled through a local garden at the monastery;

* (You worn out yet? By this point, we were!);

* Ate lots of authentic Tibetan food – Thukpa, Momos, Shaptra;

* Took care of musician boy with a stomach bug;

* Shot hundreds of pictures; and

* Seriously dreaded going back to work.

Whew. So, now that I'm back from butt stuck work for an ungodly nine hours (not including travel time). That's all I've got. So, what's up with you?
Couple of nights ago I heard the cover of ‘Psycho Killer’ by Velvet Revolver (originally performed by the band ‘Talking Heads’). The song has a certain shine. If you take the time to play this one you’re all in for a treat. Have a listen and a great week.

I wanna go there too! I am getting so lazy, I need to shift my ass and do some thing, anything.
I love Tibetan food. The mutton-stuffed momos, the piping hot thukpas with extra seasonings of chili, oooh! I dont think Ive tasted Shaptra, though, and I don't think I can ever acquire a taste for salted tea.
Love those tiny kungfu-monk figurines. Cute!

@Ku2: It's my 3rd visit there and i'm not going to rule out a 4th one. Next time i plan a trip to Coorg, you're definitely invited.
Shaptra, is just the dough eaten with beef doused in yummy gravy. Mmm... Just writing about it makes my mouth water. :)
Salted tea, don't get that taste either.
Thank you for commenting. Here's to a great weekend.

@illusionaire: Okay, we stayed at a monastery, so it was a bit of a toughie to find girls or boys with hair and regular clothes. I'm afraid the only places I've visited in Coorg were the monasteries and the camping sites. Both places weren't coorgi women central. :(

@Mentalie: It blows donkey cocks (and if that isn't some good back to work imagery, I don't know what is) Happy weekend you.

Hey! I love Bylakuppe. I hope you got to spend time with some monks there. It means much more that way. Let me know when the next trip is and I'll let some friends in the monastery know. You can look forward to some serious contemplation on logic, God, monkhood, compassion etc.. FUN! :)

@Republic Of Chic: I stayed at the monastery. So yeah, most of our interaction was with the monks. Sure, sure will contact you in case i need to get lost in some meditation in case injected medication doesn't help. (I kid, of course)
